Meet Charles Wooley
Charles Wooley is an Aussie journalist, writer and reporter, famous for his role on Channel 9's 60 Minutes.
At 16 Charles moved to Hobart where he gained an honors degree in history from the University of Tasmania. While studying he developed his journalistic skills while working for the University student newspaper Togatus.
In 1970 Charles moved to Launceston where he worked as a cadet for The Examiner. Two years later, Charles joined ABC Radio in Perth and later moved into television working on This Day Tonight, Nationwide and Four Corners. He then served as ABC's foreign correspondent based in London.
In 1986 Charles joined Channel 9 where he worked on Sunday and then A Current Affair before joining the 60 Minutes team in 1993.
In 2006 Charles moved back into radio, hosting his popular program Across Australia.
The Show
Weekdays 9am - 12noon
The Morning Show with Charles Wooley Across Australia revolves around rural
and regional Australia and provides a voice for the many people who live outside
the city. Across Australia is about life in all parts of the country, throwing the limelight
on important issues that people in regional and rural life face as well as supporting
and covering major events for the people who are the backbone of Australia.
The talkback show gives listeners the opportunity to voice their opinions and engage
in Charles quirky, insightful and entertaining stories that reflect life all over the country.
